5. Prepare the site
Prepare the site, including important non-plant elements of the garden such as fences, compost (see modules ecological sanitation, solid waste management and biogas), water (see modules rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and wind pumps), tools, secure storage area, etc.)
After you have found a suitable location, you need to:
- decide what requires improvement;
- estimate the equipment and supplies needed;
- discuss how to plan and lay out the garden; and
- organize the preparation of the site
