Solar Pumps

A borehole is by far the most common water source from which solar pumps get their water. A characteristic solar pumping system consists of solar panels, an inverter and a electric submersible pump, pumping to an elevated storage tank. There are many other configurations possible, depending on the nature of the water source and the demand. The photovoltaic panels are costly and therefore effective fencing around the system is required.
